Jenny McCarthy shared a special New Year's Eve kiss with a New York City police officer.
It's not unusual to ring in the New Year with a kiss, but it is traditional to know the identity of the person one chooses to smooch. But for actress and author Jenny McCarthy, not knowing the name of the man she locked lips with in Times Square on Saturday night didn't make the moment any less special. That's because she shared one heck of a kiss with a New York City police officer.
McCarthy, who stopped by TODAY Monday morning to whip up some fun from Sabra Ricci's "Lobster for Leos, Cookies for Capriorns: An Astrology Lover's Cookbook," said the identity of the officer remains a mystery -- for now.
"If he's out there, will you please get a hold of me?" the actress asked before adding, "I thought it was really cute and really sweet."
As for why McCarthy decided to lock lips with one of New York's finest, she simply said, "I thought, why not give back?"
Not that kissing the officer was exactly a sacrifice.
"I loved it!" she admitted.
Of course, there's no shortage of potential McCarthy suitors waiting around if the mystery man doesn't make another appearance. Following a recent admission that she could see herself dating a bald man, some members of TODAY's crew donned bald caps to show their support.

Isn't she the one who is responsible for spreading huge disinformation about vaccinations and causing many kids to become considerably more vulnerable to childhood diseases?

she got famous being on a centerfold for Playboy. She does gigs where she is easy and loose not required real acting talents. The woman has a great time and she is pretty....she can get anything she wants.
Who is she? What does she do? Or as I would normally say, "Who does she tend bar for?"
Surely someone who is as loving and as knowledgeable about astrology and diet as this is a trustworthy source on vaccine safety.
she refused to believe her child was autistic so she had to blame another source besides ...her genes...it has never been proven that the vaccines do in fact change the kids for the worst, but maybe in isolated cases it does. Totally possible but bottom line...it is safer to vaccine in a long run than taking chances and refusing the vaccines. Catch 22.....in her case, she meant well but it ended up not being a wise move. Her kid is fine , I think....maybe too many people are eager to label autism on kids who simply need constant stimulus....fine line.

Geez, she talked to him, and got his name after the kiss. It was on NY's rockin eve. Censors blocked his name on his shirt and blocked out when he said his name. He rated her kiss a "10".

what does it matter who she was or what she did before, apperently she's celebrity enough to co host new years rocking eve for more money for the one night than a lot of people earn in a year.

I like her...but don't really feel she did a good job in the possition she had at Time's Square!! There's plenty of people who could have done better. As for the kiss...who cares who she kissed? It was most likely a publicity stunt!? Or possibly a way to get the attention of her ex..Jim Carey!?

Did she ask for police ID before that act? On New Years Eve plenty of people might dress in costume. Could be kind of risky, not knowing with whom you're swapping spit.
